Gotta catch 'em all!
Ouch, the summer's been hot.
There's a few new pages this time around. First up, some notes about Wizards of Mickey, a comic which spawned a Disney TCG predating Lorcana. I've also got a short fluffier article about a lamp in Disneyland.
I've fallen for the lure of cardboard crack again. It started a while back I bought a heavily discounted Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Decks II from a local drugstore. This a is a nice tin with three decks based on Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey. These cards are not competitively viable, but it's a nice nostalgia shot and I don't play competitively. It's great to finally own the Egyptian God Cards! A little while later I found discounted Lorcana starter decks online… now I've been considering the new Magic: The Gathering set. Oh bother.
I read and finished the book Monster Kids, a review of which you can find on my Book Reviews page. I also included a an old short review of mine of the book DisneyWar. These are the first two non-fiction book reviews on this website.
Just for fun, I recreated the flash website of the old arcade game Tokyo Cop. It's the second subsite for my Center Parcs article, since that's where I played the game. You can find it there or simply click this link.
